PMEGP
The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme is a credit-linked subsidy run by the Ministry of MSME, with KVIC as the national nodal agency. The promoter invests 5–10% of project cost. The government subsidy is 15–35%. The bank funds the rest as a term loan.
- Manufacturing: project cost up to ₹25 lakh
- Business / service: up to ₹10 lakh
- Per capita investment caps apply (₹1 lakh plains, ₹1.5 lakh hills)
- Meant for new self-employment units, including artisans and unemployed youth
MSE-CDP
The Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme funds groups of units that make similar things and share similar problems. Components include infrastructure, Common Facility Centres, marketing hubs, and support to state cluster programmes.
SFURTI
Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries. Beneficiaries include artisans, SHGs, cooperatives, and implementing agencies. Assistance on a project can go up to ₹8 crore.
